Trials and the Christian Life
1 Peter 2:21 says, "For to this you have been called, because Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example, so that you might follow in his steps." As Christians, we walk in the path of our Savior, Jesus Christ. Just as our head has suffered so will we, his body. These hardship often times lead us to ask questions like "Why is this happening to me? What purpose is there in it? Does God really care what I am dealing with?" Jesus' calming of the sea in Mark 4:35-41 provides some helpful answers to questions like these, and it causes us to focus on Christ who endured for us.
