"A Well-Spent Sabbath"
"For a few people today, an hour or two on Sunday mornings is occupied with public worship, but for most people, the idea that Sunday is the Christian Sabbath—an entire day set apart for worship, rest, and ministry—is entirely novel."
The Lord's Day was called "the market day of the soul" by the Puritan believers, but in today's day and age it is very much ignored as the blessing it was given to be. The Christian Sabbath was given to the Church as a time or rest and reflection upon the good things Christ has done for us. There is so much that could be said of this gift.
Please enjoy this brief article by Pastor David Strain (Senior Ministor, First Presbyterian Jackson, Mississippi) on the reason and beauty of the Lord's Day. May this day be used as a delight to your soul. The link is below.
